The Porsche Carrera Cup Asia kicked off its 2018 season with a bang at Shanghai International Circuit over the weekend, with Team StarChase’s Philip Hamprecht taking home the Overall win in Round 1 win after expertly defending his pole position and Modena Motorsports’ Wayne Shen grabbing the first place honours with a tough fight in Pro-Am class.

Rounds 8&9 QualifyingStarting in wet conditions after torrential downpours at Malaysia’s Sepang International Circuit, the Qualifying session for the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia Rounds 8&9 turned into a dramatic battle against the clock as the track began to dry and the session became a high-stakes tyre lottery.
Rounds 4&5 QualifyingThe 4th and 5th Round of the 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia got started with a rousing qualifier at Zhuhai International Circuit. The fastest driver around the 4.3km track was Rodolfo Avila, who earned pole position for both of the weekend’s races. Lining up alongside Team Jebsen’s Avila would be Team Porsche Holding’s Martin Ragginger, followed by Alexandre Imperatori and Zhang Zhen Dong one row behind.
LKM Racing Team’s Earl Bamber, who has handily led the 2014 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia all season long, has today clinched the title of overall champion in the series’ Round 11 race at Shanghai International Circuit.
