Shanghai, China (August, 2011) – The trials and tribulations of a challenging weekend at the Ordos International Circuit last month have done nothing to dent the formidable resolve and enthusiasm of reigning Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champions Team StarChase. Stage Set for Sizzling Malaysian Return
Shanghai. The battle for the region’s most prestigious GT championship title heads to Malaysia next week when the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia takes to the 5.6km Sepang International Circuit for Rounds 7 and 8 of the 2011 season. TEAM NEWS: Team Jebsen victorious in Round 6, lead championship
Team Jebsen and driver Rodolfo Avila scored its maiden victory of the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season, with a dominant win in Round 6 at the Ordos International Circuit. With the win, Team Jebsen also moved up to take the lead in the overall championship – the first time Avila has ever led the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia.

The two-time and defending Porsche Carrera Cup Asia champions came away with a podium position – and the crucial points that come with it – while vowing to target wins for the remainder of the weekend.

Avila scores first win of the 2011 season in Round 6
Ordos. Team Jebsen driver Rodolfo Avila won his first race of the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season as the Macau driver asserted himself on the 3.751km Ordos International Circuit, securing his victory with an impressive 3.863 second margin and becoming the new championship points’ leader.

Sawa takes Round 5 in last lap win
Ordos. LKM Racing driver Keita Sawa won his first race of the 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Asia season, as the Japanese driver was the beneficiary of a last lap coming together by then-leader Alexandre Imperatori of Team StarChase and Sawa’s teammate Darryl O’Young. Team Jebsen’s Rodolfo Avila, who started from fourth on the grid, finished second, while Absolute Racing driver Brian Wong took his second podium position of the season, finishing third.
